The Court has considered Plaintiff’s Motion for Alternative Method of Service. The
Court finds that Plaintiff has failed to set forth sufficient facts to justify an order allowing for
alternate service. Specifically, no facts are set forth as to how the subject address was obtained,
what efforts were made to locate the Defendant’s place of employment, or how the truck in the
driveway relates to this Defendant. The Court will, however, reconsider its ruling if Plaintiff
supplements his motion with additional facts sufficient to justify alternate service.
IT IS ORDERED denying Plaintiff’s Motion for Alternative Method of Service.

The Court has considered Plaintiff’s Renewed Motion for Alternative Method of Service
Based on Court’s 8/20/90 Minute Entry. The Court finds a factual basis for alternative service
but imposes the following additional requirements upon Plaintiff to best ensure Defendant is
given notice of the Complaint:
IT IS ORDERED that Plaintiff may serve Defendant by:
1.
Mailing a copy of the Summons, Complaint, this Order, and any other paper filed with
the Complaint via the U.S. Postal Service at the Defendant’s last known address by (a)
regular mail, and (b) registered mail with delivery confirmation, and (c) registered mail
with signature confirmation; and
2.
Attaching/posting a copy of the Summons, Complaint, this Order, and any other paper
filed with the Complaint to the front door of Defendant’s last known residential
dwelling; and
3.
Mailing a copy of the Summons, Complaint, this Order, and any other paper filed with
the Complaint via the U.S. Postal Service at the Defendant’s place of employment.

Defendant is advised that he must answer the Complaint in this matter within the time mandated
