COURT ADMIN-CIVIL-CCC

MINUTE ENTRY

On April 5, 2017, this matter was dismissed for lack of prosecution. Two days later,
Plaintiff filed a Motion to Reinstate Case asking the Court to reinstate the case “for good cause
shown.” In the Motion, Plaintiff failed to show any cause why the matter should be
reinstated. On January 11, 2017, a Notice of Intent to Dismiss was issued notifying that the
matter would be dismissed if service was not completed by February 3, 2017. On March 11,
2017, a Notice that the matter was subject to Dismissal for Failure to Comply with Rule 16 was
issued. Both Notices were apparently disregarded as no action to seek an extension of the time
for service was filed before the February 3, 2017 deadline. Likewise, no request for an extension
before dismissal was sought.

Absent showing why the service deadlines and Rule 16 were ignored,

IT IS ORDERED denying Plaintiff’s Motion to Reinstate Case.
