How to Discuss Cases on This Forum

Good case discussions help everyone learn. Here's how to make your posts useful and credible.

Always Include:
  1. Case ID — OAH case number, court case number, or ADRE complaint number
  2. Link — to the case page on yourazhoaattorney.com or official records portal
  3. What the order/decision actually says — quote key language, don't just paraphrase
  4. Parties — HOA name, homeowner (if public), law firms involved
  5. ALJ or Judge — who presided
  6. Outcome — what was decided

Example Post:

Quote:Case: OAH Case No. 23A-HOA-0142
Parties: Desert Ridge HOA vs. Smith
ALJ: Judge Johnson
Firm for HOA: Example Law Firm, PLLC

Summary: Homeowner filed ADRE complaint for denial of records access under A.R.S. § 33-1805. ALJ found HOA failed to produce financial records within reasonable time.

Key Language from Order: "The Association's delay of 97 days in producing requested financial records was unreasonable and constitutes a violation of A.R.S. § 33-1805."

Outcome: HOA ordered to produce records within 10 days and pay homeowner's filing costs.

My Take: In my opinion, this is a good example of how records access complaints can succeed when you document your requests carefully.

This format makes discussions searchable, credible, and useful to other homeowners.
